We will provide air transportation to all passengers with disabilities. While advance notice is not required, we appreciate being informed, preferably at least 24 hours in advance, for us to prepared and able to coordinate the necessary services, equipment, and logistics to assist you as quickly as possible upon arrival at the airport.
Important: there are cases where transportation is not possible in accordance with International Safety Regulations.
For the transportation of passengers who require special attention during flights the following guidelines should be considered:
Flight attendants required: Customers with disabilities are not required to travel with an attendant unless it is determined that an attendant is essential for safety purposes, in compliance with non-discrimination regulations for air travel based on disability. Our staff is not required to assist with personal needs such as eating, using the restroom, or providing medical services.
Visually impaired passenger: Arajet will assign a seat next to the window. If the passenger is traveling with an assistance dog, it must travel on the passenger's lap (if the dog is smaller than a 2-year-old child) or fit within the foot space without obstructing the passage of other passengers.
Assistance devices: such as crutches and walkers may go into the aircraft cabin. If it cannot be accommodated in the cabin, the device will be transported in the cargo hold at no extra charge.
Passengers with reduced mobility: must travel with a companion in the following cases;
• Mental disability, is unable to understand or respond adequately to safety instructions.
• Severe mobility disability that they cannot physically assist themselves in the event of an evacuation.
• Visual and hearing impairments that prevent them from establishing and adequate and understandable way to communicate with our staff or respond appropriately to safety instructions.
Note: Passenger's assistants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of travel.
Due to the validation of the supporting documentation of your condition it is not allowed to perform the web check in so we recommend arriving at the counter 3 hours before the departure time of your flight.
